Dan Agnew sent us these photos of the monster bull he took in his home state of Washington. There has been some incorrect info. posted in the Monster Muleys Forums about this bull. Here are the facts.

Dan writes, "After seeing this bull's 2007 sheds and some video taken of the bull last December, I decided to hunt in my home state and bought the eastside Washington Governor's Tag at this year's RMEF auction in Reno. Last year's auction tag hunter (who looked hard for the same bull) told me it was difficult country to hunt and after scouting the area myself in mid-August, I saw what he meant...lots of steep terrain, deep canyons and heavy timber.

While I've been on many elk hunts where I spent days, weeks and even months with some success, I've come home empty handed on more than one occasion. This hunt was different and I experienced something I never dreamed of...on the first morning of my hunt with my outfitter, Jim Drennan, and guide, Corey Reynard, we saw this bull with about 20 cows on an open ridge top close to a USFS Road less than an hour after we left camp. After a short stalk, my .30-378 Weatherby did its job at about 250 yards and this incredible bull was down.

This bull is a 9x10 and green scores 449 gross and 436 net B&C as a non-typical. If this score holds up, he will be the new Washington State record elk."
