Kevin Larson writes, "The honey hole paid off again this year! This is a central Montana bull I killed on Sept. 6th, 2009.
This year I hunted by myself and was able to get this bull. I caught him coming out of his bedding area. He stepped out of the dark timber, chasing off a smaller bull. He proceeded to tear a pine tree apart then stepped away and presented me a shot at 49 yards. After he was down I headed back to camp to tell my wife and daughters of my success. We all celebrated that evening. The next day when I went back into pack him out, I found that I was sharing him with a bear. After some negotiating with the bear, I was able to get most of the meat and the antlers packed out. What a great way to start the season off!"
