Deena Stockburger writes, "It was an awesome 2 days. I was hunting with my uncle, Calvin Black, when he harvested this great bull which ended up with a score of 391. While bear hunting a few weeks earlier, we had a chance to get his big bull on tape (without the broken sword tine). Calvin stalked in on him several times during the week and was finally able to get him on September 19, 2003. The next evening, I finally found the bear I was looking for. My cousin Casey and I were in our tree stands when this bear came in. I took him as 10 yards, with a complete pass through both lungs. He only went 30 yards. This is my first Pope and Young bear. Needless to say, it was a great two days spent with family and on a beautiful mountain."
