Brandon Waddell writes, "This is "Monarch" my 2013 Colorado muley that I harvested on September 1st during archery season. He was given his name due to how perfectly balanced he is, just like the Monarch butterfly. I've been chasing this buck for two years. I had the pleasure of hunting him many times, with him being victorious in our chess matches! But this year I worked out more, shot more and spent more time learning his patterns. In the end I finally stuck this beautiful deer. I'm very proud that this is the first buck in my life as well as my first archery kill!"
