"General Season Smokepole Muley"
Photo provided by: Kraig Williamson

Kraig Williamson writes, "On the second morning of the general season muzzleloader hunt I spotted this buck in a group of 2 others and 1 doe. I watched them from a distance about 300 yards for a while as they fed and bedded down. I made a couple landmarks in my mind and was able to sneak slowly from below them with the BIG help of good wind. I came to a point and could see the antlers of one of the other bucks and ranged him at 74 yards. I knew from watching them that the buck I wanted was not far from him. I felt very fortunate to get to that distance and made ready for the shot with my TC "Omega". All that was next was to get them to stand up? After what may have seemed like forever, I readied myself and let out a yell… " HEY!!! " The group stood and I quickly singled out the one. Trigger squeezed, bullet and smoke flew and the buck went down. I feel VERY fortunate on how it all came together, and the memory that will last forever."
