Kacee Christensen shared with us these photos and story of her husbands Idaho archery bull. She's quite proud of him.
Kacee writes, "We are from Preston Idaho, and we hunt on my husband's family's ranch in unit 77 of southeast Idaho. Zack had been watching this bull on trail cameras and out in the field scouting for a week before the season was open. Finally opening morning came but we couldn't find the big bull anywhere. After some searching the bull was located and Zack stalked within 100 yards 4 different times throughout the season, but wasn't able to get a shot. 2 weeks into the season the bull moved into another area, obviously this was frustrating so Zack had moved on to help his cousin to harvest another bull. 4 days before the season was closing the big bull showed up again. Many hours of watching and stalking finally paid off the night before the last day of the season. The big bull was heading out of a small canyon with some cows when Zack spotted him. He bugled and called and the bull came running! Zack made an awesome lung shot on the bull at 30 yards, he ran about 50 more yards and Zack made another great shot on the bull. All of his family (including our two young daughters) went up with him to recover the bull, it was an amazing experience! We scored the bull at 364", he has awesome character to him, palmation and little stickers and MASS! We are so blessed to be able to harvest these amazing animals! It was a great and rewarding hunt and our freezer is full!"
