"After four years of tag soup on archery elk I finally stuck one at 16 yards on a Utah limited entry elk tag. One of the smaller bulls I was seeing but had to let an arrow fly and glad I did. On the four days I hunted I had elk within 50 yards six different times including a bigger bull six FEET away for over a minute. Nothing like having a six point stare at you several times being so close. At one point I thought he was going to stick his nose on me. I always wondered if I had the balls to keep cool with a 600 pound animal sporting 12 swords so close."
