Brian Thomson writes, "This is a picture of my big tom, that I harvested on Feb. 7, 2005. The picture does not show how big the cougar really was. He measured 7' 2" from the tip of tail to the tip of the nose. He was very thick all the way and weighed 180 lbs. The game warden estimated the cat to be 4 or 5 years old. I consider myself very lucky to have harvested such an animal, because I put in for the wrong unit. I really owe it all to my guide, Shane Christensen of Fairview, Utah. Without his knowlege of the area, and such great dogs, I would have never harvested a lion."
