I put in more than 30 days of scouting in the high country of Wyoming in 2017 in search of a monster muley. I never did find a real monster, but did find this good looking typical that was one of the best I found. Probably the best.
On opening morning, in thick fog, I had him within 100 yards but could not get a shot off. I kept after him for a couple more days and on day 3 I caught him bedded along a rock slide and was able to get him.
Very rewarding to pick one buck and go one on one with him and have success. I was sure thrilled to take him.
