Bart Roberts had a fantastic northern Utah archery hunt in 2005. He and his buddy packed in 5 miles where they were hunting elk. It was the third week of the season and it was very cold. While sneaking into the area where they hoped to harvest a bull, Bart's buddy, Brett, spotted 5 bucks feeding along the edge of some aspen trees. After watching the bucks for a few minutes, and recognizing that two of the bucks were quite big, Bart attempted a stalk.
As Bart peered over the hill, there stood the bucks. Bart could hardly draw his bow, as his hands were so cold in the bitter morning air.
Bart's 70 yard shot hit home and the buck went only 50 yards before expiring.
The buck is over 34 inches wide! What a great trophy!
