Cory Williamson sent us this photo of the droptine buck that his buddy, Grant Carlson, harvested in British Columbia.
Cory writes, "After hunting this heavy timbered area for 14 days, Grant passed up numerous bucks around the 20 - 23 inch range, but wanted one at least 25". On November 29, 2002 Grant went out to his favorite deer haunt scented-up with doe estrus. He knew there was a big buck in the area with 8-10 does, but hadn't seen it yet. He arrived in one of his favorite areas one hour before light. At first light he still-hunted up 100 yards onto a hillside to find does all over the place, the closest being 100 yards. He thought this had to be the day.
He shot this 27-1/2" buck as it snuck up behind him thinking he might get to mate another doe. The old buck never saw Grant up against the log wearing his camo as he shot, taking it down".
