Keith Campbell writes, "I was lucky enough to draw a high country Wyoming deer tag this year. I have hunted this unit 3 times over the past decade and I know some great bucks live above tree line. I watched this buck in August with 4 other bucks in a bachelor herd right at 11,000 feet. It took me 8 days and about 40 miles of hiking over 10,000 feet to relocate him. He had left the bachelor group and was alone in the high country in October. After about a 2 mile stalk, I was able to harvest him with my custom Christensen 300 Weatherby Mag. I shot the buck at 10,700 feet elevation on 10-10-11. He's a great buck and a hunt I will always remember."
