After not being able to seal the deal on the archery hunt, I returned on the opening morning of muzzleloader season to harvest this great 5x5. A buddy and myself were sneaking through an aspen grove where 2 bulls were fighting over about half a dozen cows. Being in the middle of elk wasn't bad enough, then there were does all around us. I spotted this buck through the trees, found a shooting lane and dropped the hammer."
