David Maes writes, "Had another great year here in Colorado. Harvested 2 nice mule deer bucks in the 3rd rifle season on the 3rd day. When I got up to the dark heavy horned buck, he had on a radio collar. Pretty crazy to harvest one with a collar. The other typical buck was right at 29.5" wide. Both shot same morning, in the same bowl, almost at the same time. Both shots were right at 400 yds by myself and brother-in-law. Took mine with my .300 win mag and he shot his with his .270 win mag.
Was able to get a decent bull elk in the 4th season also. Shot him at 425 with my .338 win mag. Excellent year and lots of meat in the freezer!!!!"
