"Ronald's Antler Finds"
Photo provided by: Ronald Torpey

Ronald Torpey writes, "Here’s a few finds from the hills. The winter kill was found just as you see it; our area had one of the worst winters in years as far as snowfall.
Many of our animals either ended up stuck in certain areas where they couldn’t get out, find food or were easily prayed upon by predators. My friends and I have found numerous bucks that died after they shed their horns.
I have friends that go down to the southern part of Idaho and pull out tons of muley horns, but up north those are harder to come by. Most of us here dedicate our time to hunting the hills and deep woods where the snow is still deep and there are fewer people tracks. We don’t find much more than 5 to 10 in a day, and the occasional 15 days, but most are dandy finds."
